Find out more about the Society

Our aim is to provide or to assist in providing for the inhabitants of the ward of Wormington and surrounding area facilities for recreation and other leisure time occupations in the interest of social welfare with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants

This will be done initially by providing a marquee (our ‘virtual village hall’) and eventually a purpose built village hall in which the inhabitants can hold meetings, hold lectures and classes, take part in sports and other leisure pastimes. The objective of this is to improve the conditions of life for the said inhabitants.

The Marquee (our "Village Hall") can be usually found on the the green beside St Katherine's church during the warmer months however, we are working towards achieving a permanent structure, also on the the green beside St Katherine's church, which will enable residents to meet and socialise throughout the year and in all weathers!

More news about the Hall can be found here.

The Hall will also allow others to hold events and run workshops, business meetings and other clubs.

Details of the events we have planned over the next few weeks can be found on the Home Page or Diary Dates page but we are always looking for ideas for events and activities. If you have any suggestions please email us on secretary@wormington.org or speak to one of the committee members.
